15.12.2015 PhD STUDENT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ASTRONOMY is awarded for the scholarship of Karoll Financial Group for 2016 Every year the Financial Carroll Group provides a scholarship of 8000 leva, in order to support young talented scientist with a significant contribution to its scientific field. For 2016, the winner of the scholarship is the PhD student at the Department of Astronomy, Faculty of Physics, University of Sofia - Nikola Karavasilev . The topic of his thesis is "Study of globular star clusters in the Local group." During much of his time Nikola Karavasilev actively is preparing scolars for olympiads in Astronomy and is one of the leaders of our national team. This year his students also brought to Bulgaria from the Twentieth International Olympiad great success - four medals and an absolute first place for Stefan Ivanov, a scolar in the ninth grade at PMG Bourgas. *За контакти: karavasilev[at]gmail.com |
